The mayor of Medellín, Daniel Quintero, indicated this morning that the application of restrictive measures is imminent for the remaining December holidays in the capital of Antioquia, on December 24 and 31.
The president explained that there will be a curfew on December 24 and 31, due to the increase in coronavirus cases in the city.
In addition, he maintained that it is still being analyzed if the measure will be only those days, or if it is planned to extend it for more days, so next Monday, after meetings with the epidemiological teams, it will be known exactly what will happen the rest of the year .
Quintero explained that they are determining “with the epidemiology team if the measures begin this coming Monday or are decreed only for the days close to December 24 and 31”.
Later, he indicated that “there will surely be a night curfew and, without any doubt, there will be restrictions on the 24th and 31st. We are evaluating the schedules.”
