With these numbers, Colombia reached a total of 1,324,792 COVID-19 cases. Of that number, 1,217,647 people defeated the virus and 36,934 died. The country reached the tenth month of the pandemic with 67,120 active cases.

For this Tuesday’s data, 49,769 tests were analyzed (29,420 of PCR and 20,349 of the type of antigen), for a total number of 6,479,003 samples processed since the health emergency began.

Bogotá had 1,914 patients new, followed by Antioquia with 1,487 and Valle with 890.

With fewer cases appear Cundinamarca (378), Santander (345), Barranquilla (312), Tolima (274), Boyacá (267), Huila (255), Caldas (238), Cartagena (221), Norte de Santander (219) , Santa Marta (161), Quindío and Risaralda (124 each) and Atlántico (107). The other departments reported less than 100 cases.

The Ministry of Health confirmed that 168 people died from the virus and 151 of them died in the days before this Wednesday’s report.

Further, by regions, 34 victims were reported in Bogotá, and 21 victims in Antioquia. Then Santander and Valle del Cauca appear with 12 deaths each, Tolima with 11 and Norte de Santander with 10. From there, all cities registered less than a dozen deaths.

The youngest person to die was a 20-year-old woman in Montería and the oldest a 102-year-old man in Seville (Valle), both with the comorbidities under study.
