The senator of ‘la U’ Eduardo Pulgar, who was captured this Tuesday by order of the Supreme Court of Justice, has been the protagonist of the headlines of the media in recent months and not precisely because of some legislative initiative of his, but because of different scandals he has starred in.
The most recent event, which has now arrested him, was derived from a complaint by journalist Daniel Coronell in which he indicates that Pulgar offered a judge to get him a bribe to decide in favor of some of his sponsors.
According to the columnist, the legislator “went around to favor his friend Luis Fernando Acosta Osío, the leader of a group that with questioned maneuvers achieved control of the Metropolitan University of Barranquilla and also intends to stay with the Acosta Foundation Bendeck and the Metropolitan University Hospital ”.

But in addition to this judicial investigation, the senator has become especially famous for starring in several controversies. In June of this year, for example, it was known that he had an altercation with the former Secretary of Health of Soledad (Atlántico) Luis Fábregas, a fact that ended in blows.
The altercation would have started when they began to discuss issues of the management of the hiring of the covid-19, and from one moment to another they went to blows. Faced with this event, the escorts from Pulgar and those from Fabregas were forced to intervene to separate them and prevent the fight from spreading; However, the neighbors – upon hearing the scandal – called the police to report the incident.

A year ago the name of Eduardo Pulgar was once again heard in the media due to an altercation he had with his partner Roy Barreras during a session of Congress. Although there were mutual accusations, the incident did not pass to major.
