Cindy McCain lent her voice to a video at the Democratic National Convention on Tuesday night marking the friendship between her late husband, John McCain, and Joe Biden.
“My husband and Vice President Biden enjoyed a 30+ year friendship dating back to their years serving in the Senate together, so I was honored to accept the invitation of the Biden campaign to participate in a video to celebrate their relationship, “McCain wrote on Twitter as she shared a short clip.
John McCain was nominated for the 2008 Republican presidency, and Cindy McCain’s performance reflects the extent to which Donald Trump has shaken up the political world. The Arizona senator did not support Trump in 2016, and the president was not invited to his 2018 funeral.
The clip highlights the personal report that Biden and McCain have had over the years. ‘They would just sit and joke. It was sometimes a comedy show to watch the two, ”she says in the video.
