We are less than 24 hours away from Lunch Night Inn and have already seen the last few minutes of leaks. The latest came from the Canadian Google Store, which briefly revealed this evening how Chromecast with Google TV buyers in that country will get six months of free Netflix.
A Reddit user discovered an anonymous Chromecast with Google TV on the Special Offers page of the Canadian Google Store. Google has since removed Chromecast with a special offer from Google TV that tutors Netflix. This was probably the initial revelation by the Google Store, but it could also be an early marketing ploy that has since changed. Presumably the deal is only available on devices purchased through the Google Store, which would be an extraordinary incentive for direct purchase.
No one else knows that another country will get the same fur for six months. People who managed to snatch the new Chromecast in the early U.S. have not received any literature or conversations regarding the deal. Of course, they were all purchased from third-party retailers.
