Christina Ricci has filed for divorce from her husband, James Heerdegen, amid a domestic dispute involving the police, Yahoo Entertainment can confirm.

The news of the divorce came on Thursday, first reported by TMZ. According to the outlet, Ricci appeared in Los Angeles County Superior Court early in the morning and cited “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for ending the nearly seven-year marriage. He also asked for sole legal and physical custody of his 5-year-old son, Freddie.

Ricci is represented by attorney Samantha Spector in the divorce. A spokesperson for the firm told Yahoo Entertainment that there are no comments at this time.
