Christian County Health Department Identifies Possible Community Exposures to COVID-19


OZARK, Mo. – The Christian County Health Department confirmed two new cases in Christian County and possible community exposures to COVID-19.

Health leaders consider both community outreach. Both cases have been reported and instructed to isolate at home until they meet the criteria of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) for release. Close contacts of both cases have been identified and they have been ordered to quarantine at home as well.

A case visited Price Cutter in Nixa on Friday, June 19 and Tuesday, June 23 at around 10:30 am. The patient wore a mask, but was infectious and symptomatic.

Anyone who has visited the site during the stated time frames is considered to be at low risk of contracting COVID-19, but should control symptoms.

The symptoms of COVID-19 include: ·
Fever or chills · Cough · Shortness of breath or trouble breathing
Fatigue
· Muscle or body aches.
· Headache
· New loss of taste or smell ·
Sore throat
· Stuffy or runny nose.
