Chris Pratt’s sensitive joke about going to the polls

If you live in the United States, I probably don’t need to remind you that this is an election year.

But I’ll do it anyway: make sure you exercise your right to vote!

Anyway, one person who wanted to get the word out is Chris Pratt, who shared this Instagram post last week and encouraged his followers to vote … for his new movie, Next.

“With what’s going on in the world, it’s more important than you vote. Ask any celebrity. They’ll tell you. Every day. Several times a day. To vote. But me? I’ll tell you exactly who to vote for. # Next , ”He wrote.

The actor jokingly said, “Our previous heroes did not shed their blood to waste their sacrifices through our indifference. The upcoming 2020 People’s Choice Awards are the result of one million infinities in the history of mankind.”

Welcome, if you didn’t find it funny, you weren’t alone. Many people commented on Chris’s Instagram calling the 41-year-old for missing the mark with his post.

The man described his joke about voting as “sensitive” and said it was “low” to use it to promote his movie:

Another person agreed, writing that “a lot is at stake” with this election and asked Chris to “get better”:

This user simply reminded Chris that the coronavirus under current administration caused U.S. How many people have died in:

“This was a great post to showcase your privilege,” the other person claimed. “Disappointed,” another user commented.

It didn’t stop there. Numerous others shared their opinions, some of whom felt that Chris was taking a “light-hearted” break from all the political talk going on right now.

Another wrote, “This is why Chris Pratt is my favorite celebrity, no politics is just a joke,” another wrote.
