China blames the United States for ‘poisoned’ relations with the United Kingdom over the failed Huawei deal

China is directly blaming the United States for the failed plans between the United Kingdom and the Chinese tech company Huawei, for plans to develop 5G.

Regarding the coronavirus, the race to 5G and denounced human rights abuses committed against the Uighur population.

Another Chinese official condemned the actions of the United States in persuading countries not to allow Huawei to help in their 5G development.

“The real reason behind Pompeo’s animosity towards Chinese companies has nothing to do with national security or democracy, freedoms, justice or reciprocity,” the spokesman for the Chinese Foreign Ministry said on Thursday, Wang Wenbin, to journalists.

“It is only because they are Chinese companies and also pioneers in their business lines.”

US security officials, largely led by Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, have cited concerns about the potential ability of the Chinese government to demand access from Huawei’s foreign networks that the telecommunications company would theoretically have intervened in construction.

“Countries must be able to trust that 5G equipment and software does not threaten national security, economic security, privacy, intellectual property or human rights,” Pompeo said at a press conference a few days before the Kingdom United terminate its agreement with Huawei.

Chinese officials are not wrong to blame the United States government for the UK’s change of heart.

British authorities said their decision was largely based on pressure from the United States and sanctions that made it difficult for countries to ensure the safety of the developing team.
