SMACKDOWN APRIL 24, 2020 .— Triple H turns a quarter century in WWE. He is no longer the young rebel from his D-Generation X days; He is now a mature executive who is viewed by many as the successor to Vince McMahon. This episode of SmackDown will be dedicated to The Game and its silver anniversary with this company. The WWE blue mark is presented from the facilities of the WWE Performance Center, in Orlando, Florida.
SmackDown April 24, 2020
And since WWE is redoubling efforts in its programs without an audience, there will be a titular fight. The Women’s Tag Team Championship will be defended by Alexa Bliss and Nikki Cross. Their challengers are Carmella and Dana Brooke.
In another female matchup, but this one qualifying for Money in the Bank, Lacey Evans and Sasha Banks will face in a long-overdue hand-to-hand, as their rivalry is not a new thing.
And we will also see a qualifier, but for the men’s Money in the Bank. The contenders are King Corbin and Drew Gulak, who will have Daniel Bryan on his corner.

The new SmackDown Couple champions, The New Day, welcome us tonight. Kofi stresses that they now have more reigns than great couples in WWE history: The Hart Foundation, The British Bulldogs, Edge, and Christian.
Fight House Party interrupts the speech of Kofi and Lince Dorado congratulates him and launches the challenge to the champions,
But now The Miz and Morrison appear, and The Miz reminds them that “they won the Tag Team championships in individual matches,” emphasizing the fact that as a team they have not been defeated. He tells them that they are both a joke, and that they want a fight here and now.
The masked men make it to the ring, and Metalik in Spanish tells them they deserve a chance, but Morrison translates him to The Miz saying “he’s great and respects them.” Obviously, that’s not what he said and Kofi lets them know, although he doesn’t translate for him. Before they continue …
Now The Forgotten Sons appear, and Cutler introduces himself and his teammates, and then they say that they will be the ones to dominate the SmackDown team division, and that they will never be forgotten.
And thanks to the newcomers, we have the relaxation of everyone against everyone.
Miz and Morrison flee and The Forgotten Sons leave a clear message to the champions.
The Miz and Morrison are interviewed and asked about the teams that broke into the opening segment and the former Champions refer to the Lucha House Party, saying that tonight they will correct everything.
► 1- Drew Gulak vs. King corbin
Gulak comes with Bryan in his corner. The bell rings and Gulak comes out of the ring and takes a breather. Already in the ring, after a struggle, Corbin is the one who takes the initiative, but Gulak manages to reverse the situation with a couple of kicks.
Corbin leaves the ring, but Gulak chases him and with another aerial kick, sends him to the King to fly over the transmission table.
Returning from the commercial, they are both in the ring, Gulak dominated, but Corbin manages to show off his strength and breaks free of Gulak’s punishment. Then the King picks up momentum and with a big lasso gets a count of 2.
Corbin gets another 2 count after applying a Deep Six. Gulak gets up, but only to be punished on the corner with several kicks.
Corbin goes for a kick, but Gulak blocks it and is now the one who dominates with a series of machetes, finishing with a dropkick.
Gulak goes after Corbin, but Corbin blocks it and was looking for a chokeslam, but Gulak reverses it and gets a count of 2 after applying the vine.
After a brief exchange, Gulak gets another 2 count after a tie. At that moment, Nakamura and Cesaro appear and attack Bryan, crashing him into the set.
Gulak goes out and attacks Cesaro and goes after Nakamura, but Corbin makes him pay dearly for the distraction and crashes him against the corner.
Gulak is missing and Corbin re-enters the ring, to apply the End of Days and the count of three.
King Corbin is the winner, thanks to outside help, and is fifth in the Money in the Bank ladder match. Nakamura and Cesaro accompany him in the celebration.
#SmackDown. Baron Corbin will go #MITB and you can reach the CM Punk record! https://t.co/Av51BeNTXy https://t.co/uB4GjZULSB

However, it seems that Corbin is not satisfied and with the help of the other toughs, he attacks Gulak with the scepter.

► 2- Sheamus vs. A victim
The bell rings and Sheamus corners his victim against the corner, where he punches him.
And when he was bored, Brogue Kick and count of three.
Sheamus takes the victory in easy combat.
#SmackDown . As we publish this tweet, Sheamus already destroyed someone https://t.co/Av51BeNTXy pic.twitter.com/anOuCQAM4o

And now, the third part of Jeff Hardy’s special: Redemption.
We will see chapter four next week.
Before the next fight, as Cole and Graves commented on Jeff Hardy’s career, Sheamus was listening to them and faced Michael Cole.
► 3- The Miz and John Morrison vs. Fight House Party
Miz and Lince Dorado initiate the action, and the rough man sends him to the canvas with a kick. Relay for Morrison, who continues the punishment and achieves a quick count of 1
Miz plays a Morrison fan by clapping his hands and saying “Fight Forever”. Meanwhile, Dorado takes over for Gran Metalik, who kicks Morrison and then, with the help of his partner, falls to the plate to score 2.
Morrison finally overpowers Dorado and manages to hand over to Miz, who continues the damage while taunting his rival. Another relay for Morrison and between them they connect a kick each to Lince Dorado. 2 count for Morrison after a moonsault.
Finally Gran Metalik takes over and cleans the house. The masked man is on and connects a facebreaker on Miz, but when he climbs the third rope to fall with an inverted plank, Miz receives him with his legs up.
Miz dominates at will, and goes for the Skull crushing Finale, but Metalik blocks it and surprisingly gets the count of three after applying a vine.
Victory for Lucha House Party, who celebrate their surprising feat against former couples champions, who do not believe what happened. A short but entertaining fight.

Logically, The Miz has lost the titles and taken the pin today is no coincidence. I imagine Morrison will betray him and they will start a feud between them.#Smackdown

► 4- Sasha Banks vs. Lacey Evans
Banks appears next to Bayley and enters with a fan “personalized” with the photo of Lacey Evans’ daughter.
The bell rings and Sasha is the one who attacks and corners his rival. Then he punishes his right arm and gets a count of 1.
Sasha has Evans against the corner, but misses a double knee, and in a lunge, he eats the boot of Evans, who now retakes the domain with several ties
Evans picks up momentum and misses the Bronco Buster and hits the cornerback. Sasha Banks takes advantage and with a kick he punishes the injured arm of his rival.
Lacey Evans recovers and manages to punish Sasha against the corner and provokes Bayley, However, Sasha recovers and manages to punish her against the corner, and with a spinebuster achieves a score of 2.
Banks goes for the Bank Statement, but is unsuccessful and Evans reverses it, applies Woman’s Right, the referee counts to 2, as Bayley helps him by putting his foot against the bottom rope. Evans notices and takes Bayley’s hair and hits her with the fan. Sasha applies creeper, but the referee does not count and is distracted by the Champion.
Bayley and Sasha argue about the previous maneuver, while Lacey Evans prepares her right and manages to connect with her rival and the referee now counts to 3.
Lacey Evans is the winner in a good fight and ranks Money in the Bank 2020. Bayley and Sasha lament, although it seems that their friendship would have its first fissure.
Since Sasha and Bayley are betrayed !!!!! #wwe #wwexfoxsports #wwexfox #smackdown

It is a shit that Sasha is not in that fight because I wanted to see her there but I know that with or without MITB they are going to follow her story so I am not complaining (well, just a little bit) #Smackdown
– Lucas ︽✵︽ (@irondanvers) April 25, 2020
To make matters worse, Tamina appears and with a Superkick turns off the lights to Bayley, while Sasha Banks looks stunned and Lacey Evans continues celebrating in the center of the ring.

Now we recreate the story between Bray Wyatt and Braun Strowman, dating back to his time as The Wyatt Family.
Otis vs. Dolph Ziggler and Mandy Rose vs. Carmella will face off next week for a spot in the fight for Money in the Bank.
► 5- Women’s Tag Team Championship: Alexa Bliss and Nikki Cross vs. Carmella and Dana Brooke
Dana Brooke and Nikki Cross start and Dana sends Nikki out of the ring with a dropkick. With everyone out of the ring, Carmella attacks Alexa Bliss, Nikki attacks Carmella, and Dana Brooke launches herself onto Nikki, and we’re off to the commercial break.
Back in action, Alexa and Carmella are in the ring and the latter is the one who dominates and achieves a count of 2 that Nikki interrupts. Dana Brooke attacks her outside the ring, while inside, Alexa is taken to the corner and sent to the canvas with a hurricanrana, but Nikki steals the relay and the referee notices and warns Carmella.
Cross surprises Carmella and achieves a count of two by applying the vine.
Dana Brooke is still out for the fight and the champions combine for a kind of 3D and Alexa covers to take the victory.
Alexa Bliss and Nikki Cross are the winners in a short and regular fight, managing to retain their titles. Nothing out of the ordinary in this meeting.

► Celebration for 25 years of Triple H
Finally “The Game” appears in the ring. They don’t let him (for obvious reasons) do his ritual with the bottle of water.
Triple H takes the microphone and says he can’t believe it’s 25 years old, and before he says anything else
Shawn Michaels appears to join the celebration of the 25th anniversary of one of the best in this business, but keeps his distance hidden in the “social distancing”. Then he jokes about who came to the celebration, that is nobody.
Michaels asks him what his favorite moment is. Triple H says he doesn’t have a favorite moment, Michaels insists, but Triple H changes the subject. However, Michaels has something prepared with the best of DX bloopers.
Now Michaels shows Triple H’s losses at WrestleMania, which are many.
Triple H downplays those losses, and highlights the quality of his rivals, to whom he owes his career: The Rock Steve Austin, The Undertaker and others.
Shawn Michaels tells him that his career was fine, but now he messes with Stephanie and the phone rings, and it is Stephanie McMahon herself, and after congratulating him, she rebukes him for what Michaels said. Triple H tries to pacify things.
Now Michaels mentions Ric Flair and Evolution, and it is the Nature Boy who makes the video call to Triple H, whom he congratulates of course, and tells him to be careful not to get kicked by Michaels.
