Last Wednesday the Government made a reservation of constitutionality and yesterday the presentation of a requirement in the TC was finalized, objecting to the opposition project – already approved by the Chamber – that allows a second withdrawal of pension funds.
The Executive said -through a statement- that his duty is to ensure the Constitution and, incidentally, defended his project, which establishes a series of requirements to access a new bailout, in addition to forcing contributors to replenish funds.
The action generated harsh criticism from all political sectors and, above all, it annoyed those senators with whom even the government had tried to negotiate during the past week.
One of them was Senator DC Carolina Goic. SHis simile Ximena Rincón also questioned the Government.
“The Government once again is mistaken the way, instead of generating dialogues, we find out that it is going to the TC. This is not the way, ”Goic said.
In Chile Vamos, the announcement to challenge the second withdrawal was valued by a sector that is against the bill that comes from the Chamber.
However, Senator RN Francisco Chahuán was critical and indicated that La Moneda is once again late.
Senator UDI Iván Moreira, meanwhile, confirmed that his support for the second withdrawal will be for all events and that he will even approve both projects.
It is expected that during the course of this Monday there will be more reactions from the political world, considering that it was expected that this Wednesday, the Senate room will vote on the constitutional reform of the parliamentarians of the second retirement.
