The Ministry of Health (Minsal) delivered a new report on the situation of the coronavirus in the country until 9:00 pm on Thursday, in which 2,502 new cases were recorded, of which 2,112 are symptomatic and 390 are asymptomatic.
Specifically, this Friday’s report maintains the rise in daily cases that had been registered since Wednesday above the 2,500 infected.

Likewise, the record of deceased patients with 26 deaths was again exceeded this Friday, the highest daily number so far and over the 22 deceased on Thursday. Thus, official figures reach 394 deaths in Chile.
By region, as is already known, by far the majority of new cases are concentrated in the Metropolitan (2,060), followed by far by Valparaíso (99), Tarapacá (97), Antofagasta (54), Bío Bío (41), Ñuble (36), O’Higgins (28), La Araucanía (28) and Maule (21).

So far, in addition, there are 711 ICU patients, 584 patients connected to mechanical ventilation and 124 in critical condition due to Covid-19.
