With a handkerchief of distance and delayed schedules: The marches called by 8M throughout Chile

[ad_1]

The 8M Feminist Coordinator ratified this Sunday its program of activities in the framework of the general strike of this Monday, March 8, to commemorate, as every year, the International Day of Working Women, despite the risk of contagion by the COVID-19.

Through its social networks, the organization reported that in the Metropolitan Region and in the rest of the country -including Rapa Nui- the demonstrations are called in different times and places, according to the commune.

In the context of the pandemic of coronavirus, the coordinator established a security protocol and asked the participants to occupy the face mask (cover nose and mouth), wear more than one mask in case it gets wet and throw them away in suitable places or keep them in a tightly closed bag; wear alcohol gel; and keep “a handkerchief away” to avoid contagion.

He also called “do not go if you have any respiratory symptoms (cough, chest pressure), headache, diarrhea, fever, loss of smell, loss of taste or muscle discomfort for no apparent reason. “
