This Friday the health authorities delivered a new balance on the advance of the coronavirus in the country, an opportunity where 6,604 new cases were reported. This is the third worst daily figure recorded since the start of the pandemic, the second being 6,754 (recorded on June 12) and the first 6,938 (recorded on June 14).
Similarly, historical records of daily infections were reached in three regions: Ñuble (218); La Araucanía (527); and Los Ríos (369).

To date, 2,193 people are hospitalized in Intensive Care Units (ICU), of which 1,907 are on mechanical ventilation support. In relation to the Integrated Health Network, there is a total of 201 critical beds available for the patient who requires it, regardless of the region where they are.
Regarding ICU patients, for the third consecutive day a record number of hospitalized patients was reached (2,193), since on Wednesday 2,133 patients were reached in the ICU and on Thursday 2,152 patients were in intensive care.
Regarding the Laboratory Network and diagnostic capacity, yesterday the results of 73,129 PCR tests were reported, reaching to date a total of 10,416,402 tests analyzed nationwide. The positivity for the last 24 hours at the country level is 8.84%.
