The Professional Footballers Union (Sifup) summoned delegates and club captains to participate in an extraordinary assembly next Monday, March 8, where they will discuss the decisions adopted by the Council of Presidents of the ANFP and will evaluate a possible strike of players.
Due to the unfortunate decisions adopted by the Council of Presidents and by virtue of what our statutes establish, we will call an Extraordinary Assembly next Monday, where delegates and captains will decide the steps to follow. @ANFPChile @FIFPro

Through a publication on social networks, Sifup regretted the decisions taken by the ANFP, after approving the bases of the 2021 championships, leaving without direct promotion to the Second Division.
The Sifup previously had declared to be against the modification of the promotion format for the Second Division, accusing that giving half a quota directly violated “against ethics, sportsmanship and healthy competition.”
For its part, the ANFP board made this decision understanding that as an effect a footballer strike could be generated, which will be discussed by the players themselves at the Sifup assembly on Monday.
In addition, in the ANFP directory they indicated that an eventual strike of footballers can also extend to the players of the Chilean national team.
Remember that one of the Second Division teams, Rodelindo Román, is owned by Arturo Vidal, midfielder for La Roja.
This eventual paralysis of footballers can go further, since the ANFP board of directors have indicated to the clubs this could be extended to the Chilean National Team. @alairelibrecl
