The mayor of Los Lagos celebrated in advance the progress of the phase in the Step by Step Plan in three communes of the region. The mayor of Puerto Montt agreed that “they succeeded.”
The region’s authority, Harry Jürgensen, announced via twitter that Puerto Montt and Los Muermos advance to Phase 2 and Curaco de Velez a Phase 3.
As every day, at 1:00 p.m., this and other measures will be officially announced in the national balance sheet.
In this regard, Mayor of Puerto Montt, Gervoy Paredes, he agreed and told Radio Bío Bío that it was possible to demonstrate that the conditions were in place for the advancement of the phase in the commune.
“I knew that many in the Regional Government agreed with the vision that we had (…) we must call people to take care of this so as not to back down “, he emphasized.
The mayor explained that all authorities will meet to see the organization of the city and face all the situations that will change due to the new sanitary provision. This with the aim of “Work together to take care of Phase 2 and move quickly to Phase 3”.
According to Paredes, “the low numbers” are not due to the quarantine, but to the “errors” in the tests such as the consideration of the narrow infections carried out by Puerto Montt, unlike other regions.
“We suffered for a long time having precisely a fixed charge of 25 to 30% of PCR more than many days ago,” said the local authority.
