Water-throwing car overturned on Lebu route: four carabinieri injured

A Carabineros water-gun car was involved in a traffic accident on Route 160 near Lebu, Biobío Region, resulting in four police officers injured.

The Commander of the Lebu Fire Department, Felipe Fierro, explained that the vehicle was involved in a collision with a private vehicle, at which point it lost control “turning over on its side in a sector where there is a small ravine of about five to seven meters.”

The events occurred in front of a firefighting company, which were the first to help the injured, who in total would be four, all of whom were transferred to the Santa Isabel de Lebu Hospital.

While, Colonel Cristian Martínez, prefect of AraucoHe explained that “for reasons that are being investigated, his driver loses control of the vehicle, falling into an avalanche of land, overturning to his right side. 4 occupants, Carabineros officials, resulted in various injuries.”
