During the afternoon of this Tuesday a 46-year-old man died after being shot in the middle of a “slamming door.” The incident occurred in the commune of Cerrillos, at the intersection of Acapulco with Ciudad Maderos.
According to preliminary information, the victim was driving towards his home when another car, without a license and with three unknown passengers on board, approached him until he passed him.
“In the section that can be glimpsed in the surveillance cameras, we were able to establish that there was a follow-up and a distracting maneuver by them (the attackers) when they surpassed it and disappeared from the place”, said Carabineros Major José Luis Boccheri.
The foregoing, because the car without identification reappeared once the victim stopped just meters from his house. The criminals struggled with the man to try to steal his vehicle and ended up firing four shots, of which three hit the victim’s body directly.
“There was a lot of planning to surprise him once he was under the vehicle”, confirmed the Major of Carabineros.
Immediately after the event, a neighbor from the sector who works in the health area approached the victim to provide first aid. However, the maneuver was unsuccessful and when he was transferred to a health center, the person had already lost his life.
Carabineros and PDI personnel are guarding the site of the event to generate the corresponding expertise. So far the identification of the three attackers and the whereabouts of the stolen car are unknown.
