Venezuelan woman died in unauthorized passage to Chile: she was going to meet her children

The need to find a better quality of life or simply reunite with family, in this case, did not have a happy ending. A 45-year-old woman of Venezuelan nationality passed away last Sunday when he was trying to cross the border with Colchane, through an unauthorized crossing.

According to what Radio Cooperativa reports, the Major Mario Palma, from the Third Police Station of Pozo Almonte, explained that “this Venezuelan woman gives notice that a relative of hers had fainted in the place of Pisiga Carpa Vieja, approximately 200 meters from the place where they are trying, the large amount of Venezuelans, go through unauthorized steps. She mentioned that she had fainted as a result of the walk they had had and because of the cold at that time.

The deceased was accompanied by three people, including her sister and a neighbor, with whom she set out from Maracaibo to Chile, to reunite with her children.

“She came to meet her children, she has two children, they live in Santiago. The idea was to live with them and hope that, at least, in Venezuela things will improve to be able to return, but right now (sic) it is very hard be there, “said his sister.
