The Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile, through its Conecta Mayor foundation, will create the Virtual Help and Communication Center called CONECTA MAYOR, aimed at communicating and accompanying the elderly.

Through the resources collected by the campaign, and with the support of the Municipalities throughout Chile, a device based on cellular technology will be delivered, which is friendly to the elderly and that will give them a connection with the municipalities, the family health centers , specialist doctors, psychologists and family members. This campaign also seeks to raise funds to deliver a kit of medical supplies and food specially selected for the elderly, under the supervision of the Geriatrics and Gerontology Society of Chile and the Nutrition area of the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile.

First confirmed artists

The first three international artists who will participate via streaming in the event have already been confirmed.

They are Diego Torres, Pablo Alborán and Yuri, who will be delivering their message during the two days of the program and telling how they have experienced the pandemic in their countries.

The Musical Director of the event, Carlos Figueroa, appreciated that these artists have attended the call and it is always a privilege to work with them at a social event.

“International artists are very important in this type of campaign. They have wanted to join because they understand that this is a tribute to essential workers and the elderly. They have reorganized their agendas and we appreciate this effort because without a doubt they will motivate Chileans in this special program, ”he said.
