During this Tuesday the snow fell in different sectors of the big island of Chiloé. Through photos and videos on social networks, users have shared images of the unusual phenomenon.
Through the platform TransporteInforma Región de Los Lagos, it was reported that snow-water precipitations were recorded in the communes of Chonchi, Castro and Dalcahue, as well as in the towns of Llicaldad and Rauco.
Meanwhile, the Geoscientific Network of Chile reported that “snow and sleet precipitations are being recorded in several locations on the Big Island of Chiloé. This meteorological phenomenon is expected to extend throughout the day today and early tomorrow morning.”
