By means of a short press release, Unión La Calera announced this Tuesday about 12 new cases of Covid-19 in its delegation, after the PCR tests carried out by the club during the last weekend.
After the controversy over the announcement of the Seremi de Salud de Valparaíso of three infected and six probable cases, information that in La Calera they did not know, the institution now reported a dozen new cases.
“Unión La Calera reports that as a result of the different samples taken over the weekend, 12 new positive cases of Covid-19 were registered in our delegation,” the institution announced.
Regarding the infected, without confirming how many are players or members of the coaching staff, the “cement manufacturers” reported that “they were isolated, following the rigorous protocols.”
“Likewise, the health authority was informed in a timely manner, with which it is working in a coordinated manner and all the indicated measures have been followed”, closed the statement.
Unión La Calera saw their meeting suspended on Sunday, against O’Higgins.
