Universidad Católica wants to forget the bitter elimination against Vélez Sarsfield and this Thursday it presented something that many UC fans longed for: the new “Fortaleza Cruzada”, the project that seeks to modernize the San Carlos de Apoquindo campus.
The operation will be in charge of the Spanish company IDOM, which presented the design that was most liked by the student leadership. The new model will be ready in 2023, as confirmed by those from Las Condes through a special event. In addition, it will have a capacity for 20 thousand people.
“Cruzados expects the work to be completed during the second half of 2023, allowing the new venue to host some sports disciplines for the Pan American Games to be held in Santiago in October of that year,” declared from the leadership.
“The four lighting towers disappear, since the latest technology LED luminaires that will be used in the project will be installed on the roof, in the style of the most modern stadiums in the world,” they added from IDOM.
