Last Sunday, the government of Turkey decided to lift the quarantine imposed by the coronavirus, a news that became a cause for celebration for Olesya Suspitsyna, 31.

So the woman, together with one of her friends, decided to finally go outdoors and visit part of the tourist city of Antalya, in the south-west of the country.

However, the joy passed quickly when Olesya perched on a cliff and lost her balance, falling by more than 35 meters until her death.

He ignored security

According to local media reports, collected by the Daily Mail portal, the woman and her friend were walking in Duden Park, after weeks of the order to stay at home.

In the middle of the walk, the woman wanted a photo for her social networks on the edge of the cliff and with waterfalls in the background.

The problem was that she decided to jump the security barrier, placed in the park to protect the visitors, and posed in front of her friend.

A second later, the woman had lost her balance and had fallen into the void.

The terrified friend – whose name has been kept confidential – alerted the park authorities, who called the rescuers. After hours of work, the team finally managed to rescue Olesya’s body.
