This day is Tuesday the 13th, when some people fear that something could go wrong due to the belief that this day is bad luck.
There is even a saying around this same theme: “Tuesday the 13th, don’t get married, don’t go on board, or leave your house.
But, where does the idea come from that this day brings bad luck?
There are multiple theories as to why it is considered that this day would be linked to bad luck.
According to Infobae slogan, one of the ideas comes that Mars was the Roman God of war, therefore on Tuesday it is ruled by the red planet, that of destruction, blood and violence.
The Last Supper is also mentioned, since there were thirteen participants: Jesus and the twelve apostles. And number 13 was Judah.
For its part, the Kabbalah mentions 13 evil spirits and according to the Norse the god of evil, Loki, was the thirteenth invited to a dinner of gods.
Meanwhile, in tarot the 13th card is that of death. Whereas for the Egyptians, phase 13 in the cycle of life was death.
This belief that Tuesday the 13th is a day of bad luck, is considered mainly in Spain and Latin American countries. In the Anglo-Saxon world, Friday the 13th is considered bad luck. Just like the title of the remembered horror movie.
There are even people who have a phobia of this day, which is unofficially called trezidavomarthiophobia.
It should be noted that the negative connotations given to Tuesday the 13th do not have or lack scientific foundations.
