The drawer Tuck tucker, known for his work on the animated series Hi arnold, Rugrats and sponge Bob, died at 59 years old. The death occurred on December 22, but it was not until this Sunday that the announcement reached the media.
As reported by the Variety portal, his family announced the death through Facebook, in a sincere and emotional publication.
“It is with heavy and broken hearts that the Tucker family announces the deaths of Tuck Tucker, father, husband, son, brother and uncle. We know he was loved by everyone he met, “wrote Bailey Tucker.
The causes that led to his death were not disclosed.
Throughout his career, Tuck was storyboard director for 25 episodes of Hi Arnold! at the end of the 90’s. In 2002, meanwhile, he was the director of the homonymous film.
He also worked on SpongeBob SquarePants and the children’s series movie between 2004 and 2014.
On the other hand, he was part of the graphic team of The little Mermaid in 1989 and designed for the animated monkeys Rugrats and even in the acclaimed production The Simpson in 1996.
His next work can be seen in the film Bob’s Burgers, which is still in production. In it he participated as a storyboard revisionist until before his death.
Craig Bartlett, creator of Hey Arnold !, paid tribute to him on Instagram. “A great friend, a master draftsman, a tireless joker, a brilliant storyteller, the first one I approached when I started the series,” he wrote.
He added that “I will always remember him at his drawing board, his arms blackened up to the elbows with graphite, rough drafts everywhere, bringing my characters to life (…) I am so lucky to have worked with him for so many years.”
