The president of United States, Donald Trump, raised this Thursday the possibility of using disinfectant as a remedy for the coronavirus, highlighting its effectiveness “in a minute”.
At a press conference, expert William Bryan highlighted the role that the sun and high temperatures play in fighting the virus, along with stating that both disinfectant and isopropyl alcohol have been found to be effective in killing the virus.
In response to these comments, Trump stated that “suppose we hit the body with a tremendous light, be it ultraviolet or a very powerful light (…) and then we carry this light inside the body, which can be done through the skin or otherwise. I think they said they were going to try that. “
