The president of the United States, Donald Trump, left the military hospital in which he had been admitted for three days to treat COVID-19, despite the fact that his doctors have warned that “he is not out of danger.”

Trump left the hospital on foot to get into the vehicle that took him to the Marine One presidential helicopter, which will take him back to the White House.

In his brief journey between the hospital door and the truck, Trump greeted the cameras by raising his fist and also his thumb, two of his characteristic gestures. The president thanked “thanks”, but did not respond to questions from journalists.

Before leaving the medical center, the president tweeted: “I will be back to the campaign very soon!”

Upon his arrival at the White House, the president climbed the stairs of the south porch of the presidential residence, removed his mask and greeted the departure of Marine One. Seconds later, the president entered the building without a mask.

Trump has been admitted to the Walter Reed military hospital for three days amid multiple rumors about his health, after doctors recognized that he experienced symptoms such as fatigue and some fever.

The president is one of the first known COVID-19 patients to have been given a combination of potent treatments such as the Regeneron drugmaker’s experimental antibody cocktail he received on Friday; the antiviral Remdesivir and the steroid dexamethasone.

TRUMP ANNOUNCED HIS REGISTRATION ON TWITTER

This after the president himself announced that he would leave the military hospital where he was admitted at 2230 GMT on Monday after being treated for COVID-19, adding that he feels “really good.”

“I’m leaving the great Walter Reed Medical Center today at 6:30 PM (2230 GMT). I feel really good. Don’t be afraid of COVID. Don’t let it take over your lives. Under the Trump administration we have developed some vaccines and great knowledge. I feel better than I did 20 years ago, “wrote the president on Twitter.

Sean Conley, personal physician to US President Donald Trump, acknowledged on Monday that the president “is not out of the woods” and that he is in fact in “unexplored terrain” by other COVID-19 patients due to the type of treatment you have received.

At a press conference shortly after Trump announced that he will return to the White House on Monday, Conley defended the decision to discharge the president from hospital after only three days in hospital, in which he has experienced at least two oxygen drops.

“He is not out of danger yet,” and we will have to wait until next Monday to be sure that he is, Conley assured reporters outside the Walter Reed military hospital, where the president is being admitted.

He also assured that “the White House will have a prestigious medical staff at its disposal 24 hours a day.”
