After the current schedule, known as summer time, began in September 2020, in the next few days we will have to give way to winter time 2021.

Until 2018 and, according to Supreme Decree 253 of 2016, it was established that winter time lasted three months, between the second Saturday in May and the second Saturday in August, while the rest of the year was summer time (five months of winter and seven of summer).
However, a decree made in 2018 modified the law on the matter setting new dates for the modification of watches in the national territory.
Law 8,777 established that the new time change (for winter) began in Continental Chile from the first Saturday of April 2021 and that it lasted until 00:00 hours on the first Saturday of September 2021, where the clocks They’ll be late in 60 minutes.

Thus, the change to winter time must be made this Saturday, April 3, 2021, when the clocks must be set back by one hour.
