A police officer who had infiltrated the Lo Hermida de Peñalolén population was discovered by residents of the sector, after they verified that he belonged to the uniformed institution due to his participation in a television program.
Under the name of Giovany Arévalo Álvarez, the man arrived this year in the Lo Hermida population, assuring that he had participated in the “front line” and in several confrontations against Carabineros in Antofagasta during the social outbreak.

‘Giovany’ had all the documents in this regard, he even had an identity card and a RUT account, despite the fact that this name does not correspond to the true identity of the Carabineros corporal.
It should be noted that the intelligence law allows the police to have infiltrated personnel without judicial authorization and without civil supervision, and their real identity or the television program where they appear, which is a successful Channel 13 documentary, cannot be revealed.
The infiltrator began to appear in June with the neighbors, who drew attention for his aggressiveness with the Carabineros themselves, in Different WhatsApp groups called to organize ambushes or carry out an attack on a sub-police station in the sector.

But the carabinero’s alibi collapsed, when a young woman attended an emergency room to an office, because on the television in the waiting room they announced the repetition of the program broadcast in September 2019, there appeared ‘Giovany’, although with a different appearance.
If in Lo Hermida he was seen with braids, a beard, a mustache, an expansion in his ear and a tattoo on his arm, while on television he appeared with short hair, another name and from another place.
The chapter was never finally reissued at the request of the Carabineros.
