The Department of Health Statistics and Information (DEIS) published its Weekly Report on Deaths from covid-19 number 26. As of December 10, Chile has had 21,151 deaths from covid-19. Of them 15,846 were confirmed as positive covid and 5,305 were considered suspicious.

The region with the highest mortality rate (between confirmed and suspected) per 100 thousand inhabitants is the Metropolitan (113.39). It is followed by Antofagasta (101.31), Magallanes (95.15) and Arica y Parinacota (72.93). At the national level, the rate is 67.90.

A total of 667 deaths in the last two weeks

In the last two weeks, the Deis has registered 667 deaths related to covid-19. Regarding the number of deaths by region, with a cut-off date of December 10 and between confirmed and suspected cases are:
