A party left a balance of 7 people dead and 2 in a coma after the attendees decide to ingest disinfectant gel in a village called Tomtor, in Russia.

As published by the British newspaper Daily mail, 9 people participated in a celebration last Thursday when they ran out of alcoholic beverages, which is why they decided to start drinking a hand sanitizer to prevent the spread of COVID-19.

According to the information, the sanitizing gel contained 69% methanol, which ended up causing the death of most of those involved in the event.

The first 3 fatalities were a 41-year-old woman and two men aged 27 and 59 respectively, who lost their lives the same Thursday.

Then the other 6 people were rushed on a medical plane to the regional capital Yakutsk.

On Friday, another 3 male people, 28, 32 and 69 years old, died, while on Saturday a seventh was confirmed dead. The other 2 people are seriously ill in an intensive care room.
