erected in recognition of his exemplary military career and personal life dedicated to the country, his memory is violated by the attitude of some they pour out their resentment and frustration, on symbols that represent each one of the Chileans ”.
In the same sense, and as requested by the same institution to the Council of National Monuments, the Army reiterated the request to exhaust the measures so that higher standards of security are provided to the monument.
“In case this cannot be guaranteed, it is transferred to a public place, close to the Bicentennial Army Building, so that it remains under the protection and protection of the Chilean Army ”.
Finally, the same entity added that “those who do not recognize the sacrifice given by thousands of compatriots who have allowed the history of Chile to be written, they will hardly be able to project the country into the future to which we all aspire. The vast majority of Chileans value and respect the heritage of our ancestors and want to progress and develop in peace. On the road of violence and vandalism, the country will not achieve its aspirations for progress ”.
