Prosecutor Cesar Schibar, who throughout the day this Friday appeared at the scene of the multiple traffic accident in Victoria – La Araucanía region -, decided to order the arrest of the driver of a truck who is involved in the accident and who would have responsibility for the fact.
The decision was made based on a pre-report from the Carabineros of the Traffic Accident Investigation Section (SIAT), who investigated the circumstances of the accident that left five injured —one seriously— and two policemen (r) dead.
They are the retired Carabineros commander, José Augusto Correa Correa, and the retired senior non-commissioned officer, Carlos Ponce Albo.
The truck driver It will be formalized for a quasi-crime of homicide this Saturday in the Court of Guarantee of Victoria, by the prosecutor Aldo Osorio.
The history of the SIAT shows that careless driving and a bad maneuvering by the truck driver would have been carried out, which would have generated the multiple collision.
Remember that the accident involved 20 vehicles, 10 of which were set on fire.
