With the presence of the first lady, Cecilia Morel, the authorities of the Ministry of Health announced expected easing measures around the mandatory quarantine decreed for people over 75 years of age, who since the beginning of the pandemic have been prohibited from leaving their homes except by special permission and for one hour.

According to Minister Enrique París, now adults over 75 years of age in quarantined communes they will be able to leave during the hours Monday, Thursday and Saturday, between 10 am and 12 pm, or between 3 pm and 5 pm.

The authority clarified that it will be enough for them to carry their identity card, without the need for them to request a permit.

Meanwhile, for communes in transition stage, Adults over 75 years of age may go out from Monday to Friday, without additional restrictions to those of the rest of the population.
