The Los Lagos Health Seremi is investigating the wake of a young trans woman from Puerto Montt, in which, according to audiovisual records there was dance and no adherence to sanitary measures of use of a mask and physical distancing.
The health authority analyzes the images that show a dozen people who drink and dance to the rhythm of the Charros de Lumaco at the wake of the young trans woman who appeared dead in a hotel in Puerto Montt.
In the background you can see the coffin and other people sitting in a social headquarters, transgressing sanitary measures, even more in a quarantined commune with high rates of viral circulation.
The head of the Department of Sanitary Action, Marcela Cárdenas, confirmed to La Radio the initiation of an investigation, starting with the funeral home and the conditions in which the valetorio was carried out.
Once the antecedents have been gathered and they are determined responsible for the violation of the requirements and protocols of these ceremonies in the midst of the pandemic, the sanctions that correspond, said the health authority.
