A 22-year-old woman was found dead, this Wednesday, at his home in San Felipe, Valparaíso region. The Investigative Police (PDI) is investigating the case as a femicide and there is a man arrested, who will be formalized on Wednesday.
The only detainee was the partner of the deceased woman and have two children in common.
“The event would have occurred, apparently, in the hours of Monday night. At the moment there is a detained person, who will go to detention control on Wednesday ”, explained the prosecutor in the case Rodrigo Zapata.
The head of the PDI Homicide Brigade, Commissioner Marcelo Lazen gave details of the discovery of the 22-year-old woman’s body by residents of the Copa de Agua road.
“An external expert examination of the corpse was carried out, determining that this sustained injuries attributable to the action of third parties, initiating the investigative proceedings aimed at clarifying this fact, which, thanks to the analysis of the information collected, made it possible to determine the authorship of this femicide by the victim’s partner who was arrested, “he explained.
The seremi for Women and Gender Equity of the Valparaíso region, Valentina Stagno lamented the death of the woman and promised to support the victim’s family.
“Deep consternation, anger and pain at the discovery of the lifeless body of a young woman in San Felipe, a fact that is being investigated at this time by the PDI as a consummate femicide ”, he wrote on social networks.
