The Homicide Brigade of the Investigative Police (PDI) investigates the death of a 22-year-old in the commune of Quilpué, in the Valparaíso Region.
According to preliminary police information, the body of Kevin Gumeda He was found by a cousin inside his home, located on Victoria Street, a place that was isolated by the troops.
The body was “hanging from a link from the ceiling, (and) also kept his hands and feet tied with rope”, indicates the police report.
The PDI investigated the involvement of third parties, which was later ruled out.
The curator Rodrigo López explained that in the proceedings it was “accredited the asphyxia by hanging“as a cause of death, and” the participation of third parties in the death was ruled out.
“According to the evidence collected at the scene, and witness testimonies, it is presumed that these events were linked to excessive consumption of cocaine base and alcohol”, and also the young man “had previous suicidal ideations, on more than one occasion”, added the detective.
