They expelled 143 foreigners for committing serious crimes: they will not be able to return for up to 10 years

During this morning the the expulsion of 143 foreigners, accused of committing serious crimes in national territory.

The operation was carried out in Group 10 of the FACh, where these people will be transferred to their countries of origin and will not be able to re-enter Chile for up to ten years.

The operation, made up of the Government, the PDI and Fach personnel, has two phases. A plane with 43 foreigners will leave Santiago for Iquique, where the rest of the people who will be expelled by air and through buses destined for the procedure will join.

These are Bolivian, Peruvian, Venezuelan, Colombian and Dominican citizens, who will return to their countries of origin and to cities such as Bogotá, Caracas and Santo Domingo.

The Undersecretary of the Interior, Juan Francisco GalliHe argued that “we are initiating an operation to expel foreign citizens who were in an irregular situation and others, mostly, for judicial reasons, after crimes committed in Chile and that their sentences have been commuted to expulsion from the country.”
