Two paramedics were attacked by unknown persons, after starring in a traffic accident on the route that connects Cañete with Tirúa in the Arauco province.

The professionals had to escape from the place and managed to reach the intercultural hospital of the commune thanks to the help of third parties.

Paramedics were moving through the route that connects Cañete with Tirúa when, for reasons that are being investigated, they had a traffic accident with a jeep-type vehicle and ended up hitting a bus stop with considerable and visible damage to the SAMU vehicle in which they were traveling.

Due to this fact, both officials were left with various injuries, however and for reasons that should also be investigated, the professionals were attacked by unknown persons, they threw stones and finally had to escape from the place.

The deputy director medical director of the Kallvu Llanka intercultural hospital in Cañete, Dr. Eduardo Ortiz, gave some details of what happened and that it has already been denounced so that the respective investigation can be carried out.


The ambulance crew had to escape to avoid being attacked by strangers after the accident and it was third parties who finally brought them to the hospital where they were reviewed by medical personnel.

It is expected that during the day of this Saturday the authorities can refer to this event that occurred in the southern area of ​​the Bío Bío.
