They request to formalize the Viñamarino councilor Gabriel (Coca) Mendoza, for the presentation of 82 falsified sworn statements. What would be added to the fraud of public money in 2016, a figure that amounts to 26 million pesos that the councilman would owe.

The Viña Transparente Foundation presented to the prosecutor Claudia Perivancich and the prosecutor of the Anti-Corruption Unit, a request for formalization against the councilor of Viña del Mar, Gabriel ‘Coca’ Mendoza.

The president of the Viña Transparente Foundation, Javier Gómez, specified that the councilor allegedly presented 82 falsified affidavits to try to justify the realization of football classes that were never verified.

This fact is in addition to what was detected in 2016 by the Regional Comptroller’s Office, where the mayor would have incurred in the fraud of public money in the apparent provision of sports services, those that were never performed by the public official.

For his part, the Viñamarino councilor Carlos Williams indicated that he does not know the situation of councilor Mendoza, however he described it as serious.

Meanwhile, Councilor Sandro Puebla pointed out that it is not a new situation, and that it had already been denounced.

It should be noted that the money owed by councilor Gabriel Mendoza would be about 26 million pesos that, according to the document presented to the Public Ministry, he would refuse to return until today.

From Radio Bío Bío we tried to contact the councilor, however until the closing of the edition it was not possible to communicate with him.
