Three cyclists arrested in Mariquina were returned to Puerto Montt, who with their luggage, traveled without a pass to Araucanía to see the Eclipse.

These young people had traveled more than 300 kilometers, hoping to appreciate 100% darkness of the total solar eclipse in the commune of Teodoro Schmidt, this Monday, December 14.

They decided to take a break in the Plaza de Armas of the commune of San José de la Mariquina, under the foliage that allowed to regain the desire for the new push and leave the Los Rios Region, until they were audited this Saturday afternoon.

The young people did not carry a permit that would allow them to travel in said commune, which has mandatory weekend quarantine as they are in Phase 2. The police deputy commissioner, Captain Rubén Montesinos, confirmed that the cyclists were issued a document to return to Puerto Montt.

These days prior to the total solar eclipse, health and health personnel strengthened their audits since in the northern part of the Region there will also be mobility, due to the presence of the solar umbra at the pick moment of the astronomical phenomenon.
