During this day, the detention of a 32-year-old man who worked as an English teacher in a school in the southern sector of Antofagasta, after being accused of a series of sexual crimes against female students.
The capture was achieved after an operation carried out by detectives of the Sex Crimes Investigation Brigade, in coordination with the local Antofagasta Prosecutor’s Office.
The man is the confessed author of the crimes of rape of over 14 years and improper sexual abuse against three of his students.
The police investigation managed to prove that the events would have occurred in 2016, when his victims were 14 and 15 years old respectively and the accused was a teacher.
It was in this context that, through offers of help in the notes, he pressured them until they were able to perform acts of sexual connotation with the three girls, by sending photographs and videos with pornographic content, in addition to having sexual relations with two of the minors.
The victims, who are now of legal age, understanding what they experienced with their teacher and having support networks, decided to report what happened, which led to an investigation order issued by the local Prosecutor’s Office, where they were collected the necessary background information to confirm the complaint.
The accused, when confronted with the facts, acknowledged his participation.
After his arrest, the subject was placed at the disposal of the Antofagasta Guarantee Court for its control of detention.
