A man from Puntarenas was held in preventive detention for allegedly violating the Arms Control Law, after the Investigative Police (PDI) seized an anti-tank rocket launcher with ammunition.

According to the information released at the hearing held this Tuesday at the Punta Arenas Guarantee Court, the facts were revealed when personnel from the PDI Homicide Brigade carried out other procedures, entering the home of the accused, Christopher Aguilar Becerra , located in Villa Lomas del Sur.

In these circumstances the detectives found the rocket launcher, the defendant being unable to prove permission to have this military element used for anti-tank ammunition.

Therefore, the defendant was formalized for possession of prohibited weapons, and was sent to preventive detention despite the fact that at the hearing he claimed to be the owner of the implement after buying it at a free fair two years ago, for which he canceled $ 30 thousand, arguing who kept it as an ornament.
