The PDI’s Metropolitan Cybercrime Investigation Brigade arrested a 22-year-old man accused of violation, sexual abuse, production and storage of child pornographic material. After its formalization, he was in preventive prison.
The events would have occurred in the capital and the victim is a 9-year-old boy.
According to the subprefect Luis Orellana, the fact was revealed in the framework of the reviews carried out on the internet to detect child abuse.
Said work, added the prosecutor Carolina Suazo of the North Central Prosecutor’s Office, was of a North American NGO that warned about the presence of videos showing people who spoke Spanish and would be Chilean.
Given this, the PDI initiated an investigation and managed to identify the child, since in one of the videos he appeared with the diver from a capital school. Thus, after a series of investigations, they also found the identity of the perpetrator.
It is about a 22 year old young man who was victim’s neighbor. According to what could be established, after gaining the trust of the family, he began to frequent their house and would have begun to commit crimes since 2017, when the child was 6 years old.
“This subject when he sexually abused the child, he took out his cell phone and he recorded all the abuse on his phone, and later this video was uploaded to his social networks, ”said the sub-prefect.
Orellana added that the family I did not know about the abuse and that they found out after being informed by the PDI. Along with this, he pointed out that from his school they had already reported that the child presented behavioral changes.
The individual was formalized for the aforementioned crimes, as stated by the prosecutor Suazo, for which his preventive prison.
