They arrest 4 people who asked for money with rag buses in the center of Curanilahue | National

For the crime of fraud on public roads, Carabineros personnel detained four people in the commune of Curanilahue, in the province of Arauco, Bío Bío region. They deceived people by requesting money and species with rag buses.

Scammed were many passersby from the commune of Curanilahue, who spared no effort collaborated with species and cash to help two foreign women who requested contributions on the streets of the city, who pretended to hold two babies in their arms, which, it was found to be rags.

The action was carried out by four people – two women and two men – who were inspected by police officers, an opportunity where the crime was discovered and the four people were immediately arrested for the crime of fraud on public roads.

Carabinieri Major Johantan Larraín, Commissioner of the fourth Curanilahue police station, gave details of the procedure where police personnel realized that the babies they were carrying were made of cloth and at the time of their arrest they had already collected the sum of 200 thousand pesos in money in cash and merchandise.

The four people of Venezuelan nationality were summoned by instruction of the prosecutor on duty and learned of the personal case of foreigners from the PDI Investigative Police.
