During the afternoon of this Tuesday, 16 people who participated in the celebration of a birthday inside a house were arrested in the commune of Villa Alemana, Valparaíso region.
A neighbor of the place, specifically on Santa Ana Street, gave notice of this fact and quickly the Investigation police who took the procedure in the commune that is currently in Phase 2 of the Step by Step plan.
In this context, the arrest of 2 Chilean citizens, a Colombian citizen and 13 Venezuelan citizens, who had traveled from Santiago in a leased vehicle.
This was indicated by the subprefect Marcos Quinones, head of the PDI of Villa Alemana, detailing that all the detainees are of legal age.
The seremi of Health, Francisco Alvarez, also referred to what happened, and indicated that it seems unusual to him that practically every day there are clandestine parties in the Valparaíso region.
“We have completed a health summary of each of them for exceeding the maximum capacity in a commune in Phase 2 and for not respecting basic self-care measures such as physical distancing,” said the health authority.
Meanwhile, the mayor of the Villa Alemana commune, Jose Sabat, made known his opinion regarding this fact and said that he was happy to report that all the participants were detained and subject to a summary.
In the house they kept several boxes with alcohol and there was the presence of minors, since it was presumably the celebration of the birthday of one of the children.
The local prosecutor’s office ordered the arrest of the 16 people for violating article 318 of the Penal Code.
The penalties for the summary can reach up to 25 million pesos for attendees, while for the event organizer up to 50 million pesos.
