They announce the reopening of cinemas, theaters, churches and gyms along with a mandatory quarantine for those who enter the country

By publishing the decree in the Official Gazette, the Government through the Ministry of Health confirmed that as of this Monday, October 19, the reopening of premises dedicated to religious services, as well as cinemas, theaters and gyms will be allowed. For the reopening they are established some special conditions pertaining to the sanitary standards of the pandemic that affects the country.

One of the paragraphs of the official publication states that “the performance of religious services, rites and ceremonies of the different religious communities in their respective cults is authorized in the localities that are in Step 2, 3, 4 or 5, subject to the following rules:

to. The offices, rites or ceremonies may not exceed two hours in duration.

On the other hand, it refers to cinemas and theaters, indicating that “cinemas, theaters and similar are allowed to operate, without sale or consumption of beverages and food, up to 50% of their capacity and keeping a minimum distance of one meter among the attendees ”.

It also informs that “the operation of gyms open to the public is allowed, subject to the following rules:

to. The use of dressing rooms or closed places that are not absolutely essential for the proper functioning of the gym’s sports activities is not allowed.

b. The distance between the exercise machines should be a minimum of 2 meters between them.

c. The capacity in the engine room may not exceed 1 person per 10 square meters.

d. In the case of group classes, there may not be more than 10 people in each room, at least 2 meters apart.

and. Different hours of attention should be established. Each attendee may spend a maximum of 1 hour in the gym, during which time they can only use one room or attend a group class. Between each shift, the gym should sanitize the rooms and ventilate them for 30 minutes. ”.

Mandatory quarantine for those entering the country

On the other hand, in addition to the reopening of ines and gyms, the announcement of the Ministry of Health establishes norms in relation to the measures that people who enter the country must comply with.

It states: “Provide that people who enter the country, regardless of the country of origin, must comply with the quarantine measure for 14 days. This measure will be indefinite, until epidemiological conditions allow its suspension.

People who have a negative result of a PCR test for SARS-CoV-2 will not be obliged to quarantine. If the test has been carried out abroad, it must not be older than 72 hours from the moment of entry to Chile. The test carried out abroad must be by a laboratory recognized by the health authority of that country ”.
