After receiving instructions from the Superintendence of Pensions last Friday, in the sense of accelerating the payment of benefits and facilitating access to the benefits established in the transitory law that made access to unemployment insurance more flexible and improved the benefits of the Law of Employment Protection, yesterday afternoon the Unemployment Fund Administrator (AFC) communicated to the supervisory body that it will modify the payment schedule of the sixth and seventh transfers of the unemployment insurance that benefits workers whose contracts are temporarily suspended .

In the official letter sent last Friday, the Superintendency instructed the AFC to “arbitrate the necessary measures to anticipate the payment of the 6th draft scheduled for next October 23, as well as to make the payment of the 7th draft in the date that would correspond to the fulfillment of the respective monthly payment “. This, after the AFC sent various notifications to the workers to whom the aforementioned benefit corresponds, informing them that the payment of the sixth draft would be made on October 30 and that of the seventh draft would take place on November 30, 2020.

Given the above, the AFC yesterday communicated new payment dates to the supervisory body, finally establishing that this Thursday, October 22, the sixth draft will be paid and that payments for the seventh draft will be scheduled in November, according to the worker’s original payment schedule. This means, for example, that if a person received their fifth draft on September 25, they will receive the sixth draft on October 22 and the seventh draft should be made on Friday, November 23..

According to the provisions of supreme decrees N ° 1,434 and N ° 1,578 of 2020, both of the Ministry of Finance, the sixth and seventh line of insurance will correspond to 45% of the average compensation of the worker, with a value higher than $ 419,757 and a lower value of $ 225,000. This benefit can be received by workers with suspended contracts, regardless of whether they have an indefinite or fixed-term contract.
