The Undersecretary of Crime Prevention, Katherine Martorell, reported that the curfew time will be advanced for all the municipalities of Greater Concepción, due to the increase in coronavirus infections.
As of Saturday, November 21, the curfew hours for the area will be from 8:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m.
The measure will be applied to the communes of Tomé, Chiguayante, Hualqui, Penco, Concepción, San Pedro de la Paz, Coronel, Lota, Talcahuano and Hualpén.
In the last 24 hours, the Bío Bío added 299 new coronavirus infections, becoming the second region with the most accumulated cases (33,740) after the Metropolitan.
According to Martell, with the advance of the curfew it is expected to prevent the communes from returning to quarantine.
